Job Opportunity: Code 14 Driver
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Key duties include but are not limited to:
🚛 Vehicle Management:
- Responsible for the assigned vehicle’s upkeep and operation.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or mechanical issues.
- Complete vehicle inspection checklists and ensure refueling as required.
📦 Loading & Delivery:
- Load and offload food products, including pallets.
- Ensure loads are correctly secured and documentation matches the deliveries.
- Verify that the correct quantities and items are delivered.
- Obtain and ensure proper signing of Proof of Deliveries (PODs).
🚦 Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to the Road Traffic Act and ensure road safety.
- Follow company policies and Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations.
- Maintain the truck and associated equipment in a clean and functional condition.
📍 Navigation & Route Management:
- Navigate through Gauteng and surrounding areas efficiently.
- Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and ensure good housekeeping.
Qualification Requirements:
✅ Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
✅ Valid, unendorsed Code 14 Driver’s License with PrDP
✅ Clean driving and criminal record
Experience Requirements:
- 5-10 years of truck driving experience, preferably with Scania, Mercedes-Benz, or MAN vehicles.
