Position Overview
We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehousing operations including receiving, dispatching, stock management, and general logistics. This role also includes clerical duties to assist the Operations Department and involves both physical and system-based inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Dispatching:
- Receive and record stock accurately in the ERP system
- Prepare goods for dispatch with correct labeling and documentation (local & export)
Inventory Management:
- Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Manage and track non-stock items and inventory movement
Stock Handling & Equipment Operation:
- Organize, stack, and move inventory using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Physically handle goods up to 40kg
- Pick and pack orders accurately as per customer requirements
ERP & Systems Management:
- Use ERP software for inventory tracking and stock control
- Maintain records and reports using Excel
- Work efficiently with tools such as email and Microsoft Teams
General Warehouse Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse
- Support stock counts, loading/unloading, and warehouse organization
- Provide clerical support to operations as needed
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar warehouse/logistics role
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid forklift license (proof of expired license will be considered)
Skills & Attributes:
- Familiarity with Lot and Serial Number tracking
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items (up to 40kg)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Residing within proximity to the Rosslyn office
