Full Job Description
Position: Financial Administrative Assistant
Department: Finance
Location: City of Ekurhuleni
Remuneration: R231,156.00 – R317,076.00 (Basic annual salary, excluding benefits)
Employment Type: Permanent
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial administrative and clerical support to align departmental activities with the organization’s financial strategies
- Assist with the correction of account discrepancies by processing necessary journal entries on the Venus system to ensure accurate billing for both existing and new property owners
- Capture clearance figure applications using letters, emails, and the Venus system, ensuring property details and payment amounts are accurate
- Handle public and internal queries via telephone, email, and written correspondence to ensure effective communication and service delivery
- Support the processing of retrospective rate adjustments based on supplementary valuation rolls
- Contribute to the implementation of governance, risk, and compliance policies to identify and manage organizational risks
- Apply sound financial controls and corporate governance practices in all tasks
- Deliver services in accordance with service level agreements and the Batho Pele principles, and ensure consistent customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to support divisional objectives
