Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Technician, your primary responsibility will be to assemble, test, and package the Mernok product range. This includes tasks such as soldering components, operating machinery, and ensuring production deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Support:
  • Assemble, test, and package electronic devices following established procedures.
  • Assist in building test units and prototypes.
  • Support wiring and component assembly.
  • Perform soldering, use hand tools, and follow instructions to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and address any manufacturing challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide general support to the production manager, engineers, and technicians.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect and test electronic components to identify defects or quality issues.
  • Document inspection results and communicate findings to supervisors.
  • Follow quality assurance protocols to maintain high product standards and customer satisfaction.
Equipment Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of manufacturing tools.
  • Conduct minor repairs and report any significant issues to the production manager.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and operational procedures to prevent accidents and equipment damage.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • Dexterity in handling small components.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Punctuality and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard office hours when required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with Mathematics and either Science or a related technical subject.
  • A Trade Certificate (Fitter/Turner) would be an advantage.
