Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and responsible driver to ensure timely deliveries of stock while performing other assigned daily tasks. The ideal candidate must have a valid Code 10 driver’s license, PDP, and Hazchem Certificate.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify loaded consignments against the approved Delivery Note—no deliveries without proper documentation.
- Ensure all delivery documents are completed and signed upon delivery.
- Secure products and staff while driving.
- Respond to client inquiries and escalate concerns to the Supervisor.
- Transport staff and materials efficiently, following documentation and instructions.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness with daily checks.
- Report mechanical or electrical issues to the Manager/Supervisor.
- Record and report any accidents or mishaps immediately.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including checking batteries, motor oil, and refueling daily.
- Submit receipts for vehicle maintenance to management.
- Maintain accurate trip records, including travel logs, kilometers driven, and working hours.
- Submit a daily trip sheet as per Supervisor’s instructions.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
✔ Grade 12 qualification
✔ Valid Code 10 driver’s license
✔ Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
✔ Valid Hazchem Certificate
✔ Strong attention to detail and responsibility
✔ Excellent time management and communication skills
