About the Role
We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support the smooth functioning of our warehouse and office operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for stock handling, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, customer support, and general office administration. This is a hands-on role that combines physical warehouse duties with front office responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Receive and offload deliveries from suppliers.
- Verify goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Store items in correct bin locations or shelves.
- Ensure all items are correctly barcoded and labeled.
- Perform regular inventory checks and stock reconciliations.
- Accurately pick and dispatch stock for deliveries.
- Support walk-in customers with order inquiries.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with 5S standards.
- Assist with vehicle loading/offloading and ensure goods are securely transported.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and handling procedures for hazardous materials.
Office Administration & Reception
- Greet visitors and handle incoming calls efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and professional reception area.
- Assist with mail handling and courier coordination.
- Provide basic company and service information to clients.
- Carry out general admin tasks including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Run office errands such as delivering documents and replenishing supplies.
- Set up meeting rooms and serve refreshments during events or conferences.
- Maintain office cleanliness and ensure a safe, tidy environment.
- Provide assistance to staff as needed with tasks and logistics.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric (High School Diploma) is required; additional admin or office-related qualifications are advantageous.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse or office administration role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with stock management and basic inventory control preferred.
