Excellent career opportunity for a detail-oriented Utilities Administrator within the metering services sector. The role focuses on managing and monitoring metering consumption, ensuring accurate billing and reporting. This position offers a hybrid working model.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- 2–3 years’ experience in utilities and administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse and process data into actionable insights
Key Responsibilities:
- Import meter readings into the billing system
- Review readings for completeness and accuracy
- Estimate meter readings when data is incomplete
- Identify and report any billing discrepancies to clients
- Monitor and manage meter consumption to ensure accurate billing
- Assist with municipal or council-related queries
- Create and track job cards for technical issues
- Prepare and submit flat files as required
- Review tariffs according to standard operating procedures
- Address and resolve client queries and issues
- Provide timely and professional feedback to clients
- Support the Team Lead with additional administrative tasks
