Position: Personal Assistant / Administrator – Tax Division

Location: Howick, KwaZulu-Natal
Salary: R10,000 (Negotiable)


Introduction:

Our client, based in Howick (KZN), operates in a fast-paced financial environment and is seeking a highly competent Personal Assistant/Administrator to support the Head of the Tax Division. This role is ideal for an experienced administrative professional with sharp attention to detail and an appreciation for the importance of accuracy, especially in a finance or legal setting. Prior experience in legal or financial administration will be a strong advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute instructions accurately and follow established procedures.
  • Records Management: Organize and maintain documentation, digital files, and databases.
  • Document Handling: Prepare financial documents, contracts, briefs, and agreements using existing templates.
  • Client Communication: Manage correspondence, answer calls, respond to emails, and liaise with clients professionally.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Book appointments, manage deadlines, and coordinate meetings.
  • Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and internal procedures.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform general office duties including scanning, filing, and photocopying.
  • Basic Legal Research: Support with light compliance checks and legal reference tasks.
  • Case Management: Assist in preparing, opening, and closing case files.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized filing systems.

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an administrative role
  • Proven ability to follow instructions and operate within set procedures
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable handling repetitive yet critical administrative duties
