Job Title: Personal Assistant to Interior Designer

Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Personal Assistant to support a dynamic Interior Designer based in Sandton. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and have a genuine interest in interior design.


Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and general correspondence on behalf of the designer.

Project Coordination

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of interior design projects.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and smooth project execution.

Client Relations

  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, providing professional and courteous support.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and efficiently.

Office Management

  • Oversee daily office operations, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and keeping the workspace organized.

Research & Procurement

  • Research current design trends, materials, and vendor options.
  • Source and purchase materials required for design projects.

Event Coordination

  • Support the planning and execution of events such as client meetings, presentations, and industry networking functions.

Documentation & Record-Keeping

  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and design plans.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Matric (high school diploma) required.
  • A qualification in business administration or a related field is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Personal Assistant or similar administrative role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience is beneficial.
