We are currently seeking a General Worker (Pipe Bender) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating pipe bending machinery to accurately shape pipes according to specified designs. This position is based in Boksburg, Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate pipe bending machines and related equipment to bend pipes to required angles and shapes.
- Set up machines and adjust settings to ensure precise bends as per production specifications.
- Monitor machinery during operation and make real-time adjustments to maintain product quality and process efficiency.
- Inspect pipes before and after bending to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report any defects or irregularities in materials or equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance on pipe bending machinery to ensure smooth operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues, and escalate more complex problems to the maintenance team.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; technical training in machine operation or pipe bending is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly with pipe bending machinery, is preferred.
- Understanding of pipe bending equipment and mechanical processes.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
