Position: Assistant – General Underground (Grading A)
Location: Springs, Gauteng
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 11 or ABET Level equivalent
- Valid MQA Competency B Certificate
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Fluency in any of the 11 official South African languages
- Physically fit and medically cleared by the Occupational Health Centre
- Must be a South African citizen with a clean criminal record
- Ability to work underground and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Must be deadline-driven and able to work effectively under pressure
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a rotating shift schedule
- Execute all tasks in a safe manner as per training provided
- Monitor and maintain the condition of equipment and materials according to company standards
- Immediately report any issues that may hinder workflow or safety
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area in line with housekeeping procedures
- Comply with all health and safety protocols, particularly during underground operations
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
