Position: Retail Sales Assistant


Job Overview:

The Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, supporting daily store operations, and contributing to sales targets through effective product presentation and customer engagement. This role is highly focused on service excellence and maintaining operational standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Safeguard all store assets including stock, cash, equipment, staff, and customers.
  • Adhere to and implement company policies and operational procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining effective store and department layouts to support sales.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and handle queries professionally.
  • Maintain accurate administration related to the stockroom, mark-downs, and lay-bys.
  • Ensure consistent merchandise replenishment and maintain store cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate

Skills & Experience:

  • Prior retail sales experience is essential.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan daily responsibilities.
  • Proficient in basic computer use.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stress effectively.
