Job Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing EMS landscapes and facilities. This hands-on, physically demanding role involves operating a variety of horticultural tools, equipment, and machinery, following instructions provided.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 (Standard 8) with at least six months of relevant experience in horticulture
- Physically fit and capable of operating equipment such as lawnmowers and brush cutters
- Basic understanding of workplace safety and ability to perform related tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and development of horticultural areas
- Clean, sweep, weed, water, and plant as needed
- Apply compost, fertilisers, and mulch to landscape areas
- Load and unload tools, plants, materials, and debris
- Operate horticultural machinery, including lawnmowers and brush cutters
- Assist with decorative setups and small construction tasks when necessary
Knowledge Requirements:
- Practical horticultural skills
- Understanding of basic safety practices
- Familiarity with lawnmowers, brush cutters, and general plant care
- Competence in using hand tools
