Position: Food Services Assistant

About the Role:
Fedics is currently seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with meal preparation and ensuring the serving line is well-stocked with entrees, salads, and other food items.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company and statutory hygiene and cleanliness standards in all duties performed
- Maintain high standards of customer service, food quality, safety, and operational processes
- Keep the food serving area clean and adequately stocked
- Assist with the training of new team members when required
- Properly store and record food leftovers
- Ensure cleanliness of canteen tables, kitchen, and other food service areas
- Meet customer expectations in line with contractual agreements
- Accurately manage stock handover between shifts in your area of responsibility
- Respond appropriately to customer feedback or complaints and escalate when necessary
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Perform additional duties as reasonably requested by management

- Able to follow instructions and work in a methodical, safe, and hygienic manner
- Physically able to work efficiently with good hand-eye coordination
- Free from skin allergies related to food and cleaning products
- Committed to teamwork and high service standards
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar food service role preferred
Minimum Qualification:
- Matric / Grade 12
