Overview
Meridian Wine Distribution is seeking a Driver Assistant to support our dynamic liquor distribution operations in Sandton. This role focuses on assisting with the loading, unloading, and timely delivery of wine and spirits, while upholding exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Report punctually each day to ensure all deliveries are executed according to schedule.
- Assist in the accurate handover and loading of stock from the warehouse to the delivery vehicle.
- Pack orders securely to prevent breakage or damage in transit.
- Ensure your company-issued tablet and all delivery documentation are on hand before leaving the warehouse.
- Execute deliveries and collections as per the daily schedule or supervisor instructions.
- Deliver products accurately, on time, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage returns or collections of defective or recalled stock, as indicated on return paperwork.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and inspect its condition daily.
- Immediately report any vehicle-related incidents or accidents to the supervisor, following SOP procedures.
- Adhere to the company’s uniform and grooming standards, ensuring professional presentation at all times.
- Build positive relationships with clients during deliveries to encourage repeat business.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license (advantageous)
- Relevant delivery or driver assistant experience is a plus
