Position: Porter Driver
Location: Franschhoek, Cape Town
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Porter Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, equipment, and guests across the estate. This role requires someone who is professional, punctual, and attentive to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport goods, supplies, and equipment across various estate locations
- Load and unload deliveries with care and efficiency
- Provide professional and courteous guest transport within the estate
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, well-maintained, and operational
- Assist with porter tasks, including setting up equipment for events
- Follow all safety procedures during transportation and handling
- Support various departments with general duties as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all transport activities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to guests, addressing their requests and inquiries
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Matric certificate
- Previous experience as a driver, ideally in a hospitality environment
- Strong understanding of local road regulations and safe driving practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and people skills
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items
