Phakisa Holdings is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Code 10 Professional Driver to join our team in the Germiston area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical and oil products, while adhering to all relevant transport regulations and internal safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Code 10 vehicles to deliver fuel, oil, and chemical products to assigned locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and load inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation including delivery notes, logbooks, and trip sheets.
- Load and offload hazardous materials in line with regulatory safety standards.
- Follow planned routes and maintain strict adherence to delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean driving record and report any incidents or delays immediately.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and promptly report any faults or defects.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines and ensure proper use of PPE.
Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for Dangerous Goods
- Minimum Grade 12 / Matric qualification
- At least 4 years’ experience transporting fuel, chemicals, or hazardous materials
- Clean criminal and driving record
- Must pass medical and drug screening
- Strong communication skills
- Valid assessment letter
- Up-to-date Professional Driving Permit
Remuneration:
- R61.60 per hour
