Key Responsibilities
- Complete and submit a daily vehicle inspection checklist; report any faults immediately to management
- Promptly report any mechanical or operational issues encountered during driving
- Comply with all traffic regulations and company policies at all times
- Ensure the truck is clean, well-maintained, and operated safely in accordance with the Road Traffic Act
- Secure and protect all goods during transit and deliver to the designated destination on schedule
- Accurately complete and manage all necessary delivery documentation and obtain required signatures
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Branch Manager regarding traffic delays or customer issues
- Take full responsibility for the loading and offloading of stock
- Safeguard company assets, ensuring the vehicle is locked and secure at every stop
- Follow all instructions provided by the Branch Manager
- Refuel the vehicle at approved fuel stations as instructed and return all fuel transaction slips to the Branch Manager
Candidate Requirements
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
- Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience with verifiable references
- Clear criminal record
- Willingness to work weekends and after-hours when required
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail
- Strong communication skills in English
- Immediate availability preferred
- Must reside in or near Centurion
