Introduction
Phakisa Holdings is looking to appoint a Code 10 Driver with a valid PrDP for a 3-month contract based in Epping, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for running company errands and transporting staff, products, and materials as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport staff, products, and materials to and from designated locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods and staff luggage.
- Adjust driving routes to avoid delays from traffic or roadworks.
- Comply with all traffic laws and inform the company of any fines or tickets received.
- Park vehicles only in permitted zones to avoid penalties or towing.
- Keep accurate logs of vehicle usage, trip durations, and routes.
- Immediately report any vehicle damage, accidents, or injuries to management.
- Follow daily route assignments issued by your line manager.
- Ensure the vehicle is used strictly in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle, including:
- Performing daily vehicle handovers and checklists at shift change.
- Reporting any mechanical issues or concerns promptly.
- Participating in monthly vehicle inspections.
- Assist the Site Supervisor, CLO, or Admin Clerk with basic admin tasks when needed.
Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Previous experience in a similar driving role is advantageous.
- Basic computer literacy and administrative skills.
