Overview:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Code 10 Driver at a well-established company in the Chemical and Hygiene industry, based in George. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering bulk chemicals to clients in George and surrounding areas, including Swellendam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and deliver customer orders daily according to the delivery schedule for George and nearby regions
- Verify correct quantities during both deliveries to customers and collections from suppliers
- Accurately complete delivery and collection documentation for finance processing
- Pack the delivery vehicle neatly and securely to minimize damage or breakages
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any faults or safety concerns
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times
- Communicate professionally with customers and suppliers, ensuring trips are properly planned before leaving the premises
- Occasionally assist customers with basic maintenance and servicing of electronic dosing equipment
- Support warehouse operations when needed, including:
- Moving stock in and out of the warehouse
- Shelving and packaging of stock
- Picking and packing customer orders
Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP
- Proven experience in a delivery role, preferably in the chemical or hygiene industry
- Physically fit and able to handle loading and offloading tasks
- Basic technical knowledge is an advantage
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious
