Introduction
Our client, a reputable company within the civil engineering sector, is seeking a Driver/Administrative Assistant to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a dual role—providing reliable transportation for business purposes and supporting the office with general administrative tasks to ensure seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities

Driving Responsibilities
- Safely transport employees, documents, and equipment to project sites, client meetings, and other business-related locations
- Ensure the company vehicle is regularly maintained, clean, licensed, and roadworthy
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and trip details
- Collect and deliver documents, materials, and project-related items as needed
Administrative Responsibilities
- Provide general office support including document preparation, data capturing, and filing
- Format project reports and documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Monitor office supply levels and coordinate courier services and deliveries
- Assist in compiling tender documentation and project submissions
- Support technical teams with printing and organizing engineering drawings and other documents
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 08 (or higher) South African driver’s license
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar Driver/Admin support role
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, dependable, and well-presented
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in the construction or engineering sector
- Familiarity with project-based administrative workflows
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
