Full Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and reliable individual to transport products and raw materials both within and outside the plant premises. The role may also require performing additional duties related to packaged distribution as needed.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license with a Dangerous Goods Permit
Added Advantage:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an explosives-handling environment
Experience:
- At least 3 years of proven truck or tractor driving experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a production or manufacturing setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials and finished products safely within and outside the plant
- Support Packaged Distribution operations when required
- Ensure all deliveries and driving tasks are conducted in line with company safety and quality standards
Core Competencies:
Knowledge:
- Skilled in operating trucks in a variety of road and weather conditions
- Strong focus on safety and quality practices
Skills:
- Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify operational faults
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently without supervision
