Introduction
Zibo Containers, a prominent manufacturer of thermoformed plastic packaging, is looking for a proactive and reliable Code 10 Truck Driver to join their team based in Algoa Park, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, committed, and eager to contribute to efficient logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections using a standardized checklist
- Confirm that all goods loaded match the associated invoices or delivery notes
- Assist with loading and unloading of stock when required
- Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of all customer orders
- Complete all required documentation and daily logs accurately and on time
- Operate the vehicle in accordance with road safety laws and company policies
- Immediately report any vehicle issues or faults to the Warehouse or Logistics Manager
- Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness—interior and exterior—on a daily and weekly basis
- Identify and report any delivery discrepancies and notify the warehouse office immediately
- Comply with all company health and safety guidelines
- Perform additional work-related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- Clear criminal record
- Physically fit and able to manage manual tasks
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience in a similar role
