Position Overview:
A vacancy exists for a Client Liaison Officer within the Client Liaison Division. This role is responsible for engaging with Scheme members, addressing their concerns, resolving administrative issues, and providing support and advisory services in line with the Scheme’s standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Client Liaison Officer, your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Conducting visits to public service departments and offices to engage with Scheme members.
- Facilitating meetings and one-on-one consultations to assist with member issues.
- Collecting and submitting member correspondence to the administrative team daily.
- Following up on outstanding documentation or information required to finalize processes.
- Supporting the marketing team at events by handling member queries.
- Striving for first-contact resolution of all queries.
- Logging all interactions (resolved and unresolved) daily for reporting purposes.
- Preparing and submitting daily activity reports and escalating unresolved issues via the team leader.
- Promoting a positive image of the Scheme in alignment with its mission, vision, and values.
- Fostering effective communication and strong relationships with members and stakeholders.
- Submitting weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity reports to the Team Leader.
- Providing information and guidance as requested.
- Demonstrating thorough knowledge of Scheme operations to resolve member issues effectively.
- Utilizing computer systems to address member concerns.
- Promoting and enrolling new members into the Scheme.
- Offering product advice and intermediary services under supervision, if applicable.
- Conducting needs analyses and recommending appropriate benefit options.
- Ensuring accurate and complete documentation of all advice and storing records as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- NQF Level 5 FAIS-recognized qualification (as per FSCA qualification list) – Recommended
- RE5 FAIS accreditation – Essential
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant industry experience (Medical Scheme industry preferred)
- Date of First Appointment (DOFA) with FSCA of at least 2 years in Health Services Benefits – Advantageous
- CMS registration as a fully accredited broker – Advantageous
- Not under supervision – Advantageous
- Completed Health Benefits Class of Business – Advantageous
- Willing and eligible to become a FAIS-accredited representative
Compliance:
- Must meet all “Fit and Proper” criteria as per Board Notice 194 of 2017
- No criminal record or prior regulatory/employer disciplinary actions
- Financially sound and of high integrity
