Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • National Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, Accounting, or a relevant equivalent qualification
  • A valid driver’s license is advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office and eProcurement systems such as Solar or SmartGov
  • Sound knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) and Supply Chain Management regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Key competencies: adaptability, communication, leadership, conflict and stress management, negotiation, problem-solving, diary/office management, administrative precision, writing and typing skills, and attention to detail
  • A minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement, preferably within the local government sector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support within the Supply Chain Management Section
  • Assist with the processing of purchase requisitions and sundry vouchers
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of supply chain processes
  • Communicate and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Execute any additional duties as assigned by management or the direct supervisor

Remuneration:

  • Basic Salary: R228,828.00 – R255,780.00 per annum (Level 09 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)
  • Total Cost to Company Package: R376,906.60 per annum (inclusive of all benefits)
