Role Overview
We are seeking a Cleaner to maintain a hygienic, safe, and welcoming environment on campus. The ideal candidate will uphold the ethos of the school and contribute positively to the workplace atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop various floor surfaces
- Clean classrooms, offices, and other designated areas
- Dust furniture, fittings, and surfaces
- Disinfect restrooms, sinks, and kitchen areas
- Empty bins and clean windows
- Communicate with the line manager regarding cleaning supplies and equipment
- Report breakages or maintenance issues
- Assist with cleaning tasks during school functions and events
- Follow the school’s Holiday Cleaning Duty List during school breaks
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a cleaning or similar role
- Good command of the English language
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct
- Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa
- Must maintain appropriate professional boundaries with staff, students, and parents
