Role Overview: Cleaner
As a Cleaner at Reddford House Blue Hills, you will uphold the ethos and values of the school while contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors of various surfaces
- Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, and communal areas
- Dust light fixtures, ceilings, counters, and furniture
- Sanitize restrooms and kitchen facilities
- Empty waste bins and clean windows
- Communicate with the line manager regarding cleaning supplies and equipment
- Report damages or maintenance issues as observed
- Assist with setup and cleaning for school functions or events
- Perform assigned duties during school holidays based on the cleaning schedule
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Fluent in English
- Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism
- Upholds respectful and appropriate boundaries with students, parents, and staff
- Prior experience in a cleaning or maintenance role preferred
- Matric certificate or equivalent
- Must have legal authorization to work in South Africa
