Position Title: Bus Driver
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to transport passengers along designated routes. The role requires adherence to schedules, excellent customer service, and the ability to handle minor vehicle maintenance and on-road issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate buses safely along assigned routes and according to scheduled timetables.
- Ensure all stops are made consistently and in accordance with route guidelines.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the bus.
- Conduct routine safety checks and carry out minor repairs when necessary.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or disruptive incidents involving passengers.
- Report any delays, accidents, or traffic issues promptly.
- Maintain awareness of traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Ensure employees are transported punctually and reliably.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Additional formal qualifications are advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ professional driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Bus Driver.
- Familiarity with local and regional bus routes.
