Job Summary
HLI Insurance Brokers is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Insurance Administrator to join their Johannesburg-based team. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong administrative and customer service skills, along with a working knowledge of insurance processes and documentation.

Role Overview
The Insurance Administrator will provide essential administrative support to the insurance team, manage policy documentation, facilitate claims processing, and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely service to clients. The position requires excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and familiarity with insurance industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Matric; a certificate or diploma in insurance, finance, business administration, or related field is advantageous.
  • FAIS compliance and RE5 certification will be beneficial.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in insurance, financial services, or an administrative environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, claims handling procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and insurance software systems.
  • Strong data entry, record-keeping, and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of FSCA, FAIS, and FICA regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Administration

  • Process new applications, renewals, amendments, and policy cancellations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Generate and issue policy documents, endorsements, and certificates promptly.

Claims Processing

  • Assist in compiling and submitting insurance claims.
  • Verify the accuracy of claims documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and insurers to support claim resolution.

Customer Service & General Administration

  • Respond to client inquiries and provide support with policy-related matters.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, and correspondence handling.
  • Support internal audits and ensure file compliance with company standards.
