Position: Branch Administrator (Fixed-Term Maternity Cover)
Location: Midrand, Vorna Valley
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (Maternity Stand-In)
Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 (Basic, No Benefits)

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Branch Administrator to oversee and manage administrative functions across multiple branches. This role is key to maintaining operational efficiency, stock control, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The position is based at Head Office in Midrand.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Filing Management
- Maintain both physical and digital filing systems in accordance with SOPs.
- Ensure all administrative documentation is processed and stored correctly.
Stock Control & Purchasing
- Place purchase orders in alignment with approved branch order schedules.
- List new products with approval from the branch manager and procurement team.
- Receive stock deliveries accurately, ensuring target gross profit margins are maintained.
- Manage product returns and ensure proper warehouse hygiene, security, and organization.
Inventory Management
- Oversee regular stock counts and adjust stock records as needed.
- Track and manage expiring or redundant inventory.
Cash Handling & Expense Control
- Ensure secure cash handling practices are followed.
- Conduct timely cash-ups and reconciliations; investigate any discrepancies.
- Assist in managing branch expenses and petty cash with the branch manager.
Point of Sale (POS) Support
- Assist with POS processes and system support as required by the branch manager.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Matric (essential)
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role (administration/bookkeeping/stock management)
- Experience in the FMCG sector (essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel in particular)
- Strong ERP system experience (retail-focused systems)
- Prior supervisory experience
- IT knowledge advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Clean criminal record
