Role Overview:
Telkom is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to provide administrative, coordination, and content support to the Corporate Communication and Sustainability Executives. This position plays a crucial role in supporting communication initiatives, sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement, and overall departmental efficiency.
An ideal candidate will be organised, collaborative, and passionate about corporate citizenship, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and strategic communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage scheduling, calendar coordination, meeting agendas, and minutes for executives.
- Handle procurement tasks, liaise with suppliers, and monitor invoices and departmental budgets.
- Organise and maintain key documents, databases, and content repositories.
Communication Support
- Draft and edit internal and external communications, including newsletters, social media content, press releases, and executive statements.
- Coordinate events and campaigns, ensuring timely preparation and distribution of communication materials.
- Assist with internal communications to support organisational culture, values, and ethics.
Sustainability & ESG Support
- Assist with data collection, tracking, and consolidation for sustainability reports and initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder contributions and prepare related presentations and briefing documents.
- Monitor sustainability trends and evolving stakeholder or regulatory expectations.
Reporting & Monitoring
- Track progress on communication and sustainability projects.
- Compile reports with insights on performance, engagement, and key sustainability KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- NQF Level 4 (Grade 12), or
- NQF Level 6 (National Diploma in a relevant field)
- Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a management or senior support role
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel
- Familiarity with sustainability and ESG principles is advantageous
