General Worker

Position Overview
Pay: R3 621 per week
Job Type: Temporary (6-month fixed-term contract, non-renewable)
Location: Ekurhuleni, Gauteng

Job Summary
The City of Ekurhuleni is offering a short-term opportunity for suitable candidates to assist with title deed verification and beneficiary profiling within the community.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must reside within the City of Ekurhuleni (specify ward in CV)
  • Age: 18–35 years (applicants over 35 will also be considered)
  • Able to communicate effectively with local communities
  • Must be literate (able to read and write)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform door-to-door verification of title deeds
  • Profile title deed beneficiaries
  • Assist supervisors in distributing title deeds
  • Track down beneficiaries whose deeds remain with the City
  • Investigate and report causes of delays in issuing title deeds
  • Document and report daily activities to the supervisor
  • Participate in community meetings when required
