Full Job Description:
Starke Ayres, a leading African specialist and global provider of premium vegetable, flower, and lawn seed varieties for both commercial and home garden use, is seeking a Picker Packer to join their team in Kempton Park. This role involves accurately picking stock and preparing customer orders for dispatch in accordance with their requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on customer invoices and transfer them to the holding area for verification.
- Ensure correct seed reference numbers are selected; report discrepancies to the Stock Controller.
- Notify the Stock Controller of any out-of-stock items and wait for further instructions.
- Confirm that all picked items are clean, saleable, and meet quality standards related to packaging, labeling, and presentation.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation procedures as directed by the Stock Controller.
- Pack checked orders into boxes, label and address them according to customer specifications, and include the required documentation.
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc stock counts as instructed.
- Support colleagues by assisting with tasks once own duties are completed.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work environment at all times.
- Follow security protocols to safeguard products, assets, and the premises.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 (Compulsory)
- Warehouse-related Diploma or Certificate (Advantageous)
- Prior experience as a General Worker (Essential)
