Introduction
We are looking for a dependable and physically fit General Worker to support the operational and housekeeping functions on-site. This role involves manual labour, material handling, and assisting with production and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate should be disciplined, reliable, and comfortable working in a shift-based environment while adhering to strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties across work areas, walkways, and plant equipment.
- Manually load, unload, and move materials and products as needed.
- Provide assistance to plant operators and technicians during production and maintenance operations.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and adhere to company regulations.
- Take part in daily team briefings, safety discussions, and task planning meetings.
- Help prepare equipment and pack products when required.
- Follow instructions from supervisors, team leads, and safety personnel.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate – Mandatory
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in manual labour, general work, or site operations – Required
- Must be physically capable of prolonged standing, lifting, and carrying materials
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, overtime, and be part of a standby roster – Essential
- Ability to take direction and function effectively as part of a team
