Company Overview:
Starke Ayres is a leading African specialist and global provider of high-quality vegetable, flower, and lawn seed varieties, catering to both commercial growers and home gardeners. We are currently seeking a General Worker to join our team at the Kempton Park facility. The primary purpose of this role is to support general warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily scrubbing of all departments as per the cleaning schedule.
- Clean and recharge the scrubbing machine after each shift.
- Properly dispose of seed and other items in accordance with established procedures on a daily basis.
- Operate the incinerator safely and correctly.
- Accurately document all discarded seed/items.
- Assist with loading and offloading of vehicles as needed.
- Support team members with additional tasks once own duties are completed.
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc stock counts or inventory checks as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work area at all times.
- Follow and support warehouse security measures to safeguard products, equipment, and the facility.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (essential)
- Minimum of 1 year of general work experience (preferred)
