Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and professional Company Driver to support our team with safe and punctual transport services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving staff and handling company errands while ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and all safety regulations are followed.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transport staff, clients, and guests safely to designated locations.
- Handle timely delivery and collection of documents, parcels, and goods.
- Keep company vehicles clean, presentable, and in good working condition.
- Conduct regular inspections and perform basic maintenance checks (oil, fluids, tire pressure, etc.).
- Coordinate and schedule vehicle servicing.
- Accurately maintain trip logs, fuel usage, and incident records.
- Follow designated routes and adhere to time schedules.
- Comply with all road safety regulations and internal transport policies.
- Immediately report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven driving experience in a corporate or commercial environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Solid understanding of local roads, traffic laws, and safety protocols.
- Minimum qualification: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential matters.
- Physically able to drive for extended periods.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Preferred Attributes:
- Training or certification in defensive driving.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and navigation apps.
- Reliable, punctual, and courteous in all interactions.
