Job Overview
The City of Ekurhuleni is offering a temporary learnership opportunity for motivated individuals who are eager to gain workplace experience and develop key skills in customer service and communication.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- South African citizenship
- Resident of the City of Ekurhuleni (Proof of residence required)
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate fully in both theoretical and practical components of the learnership
- Adhere to all workplace rules, policies, and procedures
- Complete assessments, timesheets, and reports as required
- Attend and engage in all training sessions and study periods
- Carry out duties assigned by mentors and supervisors
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times
Additional Information:
- Successful candidates will sign a learnership agreement with the relevant SETA and enter into a formal contract with the City
- Training will focus on customer service, communication, and call-handling skills
- High performers may qualify for further opportunities, incentives, and career growth
- Applicants can only apply for one category of learnership
- Applicants must not be active on the CoE HR System at the start of the programme
