Introduction
Phakisa Holdings is seeking a Code 10 Driver for a 3-month fixed-term contract based in Epping, Cape Town. The role involves operating a company vehicle to run errands and support various transport needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport company staff, goods, and materials to designated locations in a timely manner
- Assist with loading and unloading of luggage, products, and materials
- Adjust travel routes as necessary to avoid traffic delays or road closures
- Comply with all traffic laws and company transport policies
- Promptly report any traffic fines issued during working hours
- Ensure company vehicles are parked legally to avoid fines or towing
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage and trip details
- Report all incidents, accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to management
- Complete assigned trips as per daily instructions from the line manager
- Use the vehicle strictly according to company rules and procedures
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition, including regular washing and basic maintenance
- Conduct and record daily vehicle handovers and inspections between shifts
- Immediately report any faults or concerns regarding the vehicle
- Perform monthly vehicle inspections
- Provide administrative support to the Site Shift Supervisor, CLO, or Site Admin Clerk when needed
Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a PDP
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
- Basic administrative skills and computer literacy
Remuneration:
R6,000.00 per month
