Introduction
We are currently seeking qualified Truck and Shuttle Bus Drivers for 2-year contract positions in Ireland.
Salary: +- 34 000 Euros which is R686 800 per year
Key Responsibilities
Truck Driver Duties:
- Transport, deliver, and retrieve a variety of construction and heavy-duty equipment.
- Operate both commercial and non-commercial vehicles safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Accurately maintain delivery documentation, ensuring availability for management or traffic authorities upon request.
- Navigate and operate vehicles under challenging conditions, including adverse weather, high-traffic areas, mountainous terrain, and tight delivery zones.
- Properly secure equipment using chains, straps, and blocks in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate regularly with the branch manager and/or central dispatch regarding delivery schedules.
- Follow all safety guidelines at customer job sites and company facilities.
- Offer basic training or guidance to customers on the safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
- Report any accidents immediately to the branch manager or central dispatch.
- Promptly notify dispatch of any delays due to breakdowns, traffic, or weather.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate customer and operational needs.
- Complete all required paperwork and driving logs accurately and on a daily basis.
Shuttle Bus Driver Duties:
- Operate a modern fleet of shuttle buses safely and professionally.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and assist passengers as needed.
- Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure all systems and safety equipment are functional.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid South African Driver’s License (Code C1 or EC)
- Valid South African Passport
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Clear criminal record
