About the Smart Services Nursing Team
Our Discovery Life nurses conduct medical examinations at clients’ homes or workplaces as part of the life insurance underwriting process.
Role Summary
The primary function of this role is to transport healthcare professionals (HCPs) to and from client appointments and to deliver medical samples to designated locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport HCPs to and from client locations to facilitate scheduled medical appointments.
- Collect and deliver laboratory samples and medical documents as required to maintain client files.
- Retrieve blood samples from drop-off boxes or specified addresses for underwriting purposes.
- Ensure all tasks align with established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Handle clients’ personal information with the highest level of confidentiality.
Job Requirements
Work Experience (Required):
- 2–3 years of experience as a commercial driver.
- Ability to manage receipts, read maps and signs, and keep accurate duty records.
Work Experience (Preferred):
- Completion of an advanced driving course.
Education (Required):
- Matric certificate.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
Education (Preferred):
- Graduation from an accredited commercial driving school.
Technical Skills & Competencies
Required:
- Valid Code 8 or 10 (Class A or B) South African driver’s license.
- No traffic violations in the past 12 months.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with vehicle safety and control systems.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Energetic, proactive, and solutions-oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong administrative abilities.
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
