Introduction:
Komatsu South Africa is looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join the Facilities Department at its Head Office in Germiston. This role requires a candidate with a Matric (Grade 12) or N3 qualification and at least six months of cleaning experience in a corporate or office environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / Matric / N3
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 6 months’ cleaning and sanitation experience in a corporate environment
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Cleaning Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of office areas, restrooms, carports, garages, and external yards/platforms
- Clean and tidy kitchen areas, wash dishes, and serve refreshments if required
- Water indoor plants and ensure all common areas are neat and presentable
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and materials, including brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, and dusters
- Check and maintain stock levels of refreshments and cleaning supplies
- Submit requests for replenishment of stock to the manager as needed
- Complete and maintain checklists if required
- Run errands for the purchase of minor/sundry items if requested
2. Reporting and Maintenance Support
- Immediately report any breakages, damages, or issues to the manager
- Promptly notify the manager of any maintenance concerns, such as blocked drains, non-functioning toilets, or broken tiles
