Full Job Description

Position Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and compliant delivery of explosives and related products in alignment with company policies, processes, and safety standards. The successful candidate will also support operational excellence through effective route planning, vehicle inspections, and stakeholder collaboration, while actively contributing to team initiatives and personal development.


Key Responsibilities

Policy & Process Compliance

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies through regular training and proactive learning.
  • Stay informed about standard operating procedures and ensure consistent adherence.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, present proposals to management, and provide supporting information where necessary.

Delivery Execution

  • Complete full delivery cycles daily, including product receipt, seal verification, route planning, on-time delivery, and obtaining three-way proof of delivery.
  • Efficiently pack and arrange products in the vehicle, plan delivery routes effectively, and strictly follow traffic laws and CIE regulations.
  • Support offloading processes by aligning on procedures with stakeholders, following safety protocols, and executing agreed unloading steps.

Vehicle & Logbook Management

  • Conduct and complete daily vehicle inspections, ensure licenses and Explosives Operator Cards are valid, and monitor the status of fire extinguishers.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, recording deliveries, distances, and other required data, and submit reports in the prescribed format on time.

Safety & Environmental Management

  • Reduce fire hazards by maintaining clean explosives storage areas and managing surrounding vegetation using approved methods.
  • Ensure personal safety and fitness for duty by adhering to work hour limits, maintaining consistent attendance, and prioritizing health.
  • Implement and comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) practices, meeting required standards and deadlines.

Stakeholder & Service Provider Engagement

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders by facilitating communication, feedback, and collaboration.
  • Monitor and manage service provider performance against agreed standards, identify gaps, and take corrective action as necessary.

Team Contribution & Personal Development

  • Actively engage in team activities, offer support where needed, and contribute to team cohesion and productivity.
  • Identify personal development needs, explore learning opportunities, seek approval, and complete relevant training initiatives.
  • Represent the company positively by participating in corporate events and embodying Enaex’s core values in daily operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Magazine Master Certificate (CIE)
  • Minimum 7 years of driving experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supply chain role within an explosives environment
  • Proven expertise in handling explosive materials and emergency response (Hazchem certified)
  • Prior warehousing experience
