Position: Database Administrator
Reference No: HR4/4/3/2DA/UIF
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 1-Year Contract
Salary: R896,436 per annum (all-inclusive)

Minimum Requirements
- A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- Oracle 11g Certification
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, including:
- 3 years functional IT experience
- 2 years in a management role
- Knowledge of the following legislation:
- Public Financial Management Act (PFMA)
- Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA)
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
- Protected Disclosures Act
- Labour Relations Act (LRA)
- Public Service Regulations and Act
- Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA) and Contributions Act (UICA)
- Technical Knowledge:
- System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the installation and upgrades of Oracle Server Databases
- Optimize database performance and resolve technical issues
- Participate in database design and conduct PL/SQL code reviews for system enhancements
- Perform database cloning, imports, and backups for testing environments
- Monitor and support live database operations within the UIF
- Manage staff and resources within the sub-directorate
