Introduction
Phakisa Holdings is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Code 10 Professional Driver to join our team in Germiston. This role involves the transportation of both hazardous and non-hazardous chemical and oil products, with strict adherence to transportation laws and company safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Code 10 vehicles to deliver fuel, oil, and chemical products to clients
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle and load inspections for safety and compliance
- Ensure accurate and complete delivery documentation, including logbooks and trip sheets
- Safely load and offload hazardous materials in line with regulatory requirements
- Adhere to assigned routes and delivery schedules
- Maintain a clean driving record and report any incidents immediately
- Perform basic vehicle checks and report defects or maintenance needs
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and PPE protocols
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for Dangerous Goods
- Grade 12 / Matric
- At least 4 years of experience in transporting fuel, chemicals, or hazardous materials
- Clear criminal record and excellent driving history
- Must pass medical and drug screening tests
- Strong communication skills
- Valid assessment letter for professional driving
