Position Overview

Hello Group is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the operational, financial, and administrative functions of the Malawi Corridor. This role involves managing payroll, reconciling leases and expenses, coordinating with treasury on funding activities, and preparing various operational reports. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in documentation and play a key role in supporting internal processes and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes, from onboarding to payment.
  • Maintain lease and rental agreement records for retail stores.
  • Reconcile expense claims and maintain accurate receipt records.

Funding & Treasury Coordination

  • Prepare and submit bank instructions.
  • Liaise with treasury and banking partners regarding funding activities.
  • Maintain and update the department’s cash file and journal records.

Reporting

  • Compile weekly reports on driver behavior.
  • Monitor and report on cash-up and no-payout incidents daily.
  • Conduct weekly payout analyses.

General Administration

  • Track and record staff fuel usage.
  • Manage internal user access rights on systems.
  • Update and maintain the Malawi Corridor’s Google Maps footprint.
  • Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 (Compulsory)
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or related field (Advantageous)
  • 1–2 years of experience in administrative operations, preferably within a finance or logistics environment
