Job Title: Truck Driver (5–8 Ton Vehicles)

Introduction:
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Truck Driver to manage the transport of goods using 5–8 ton vehicles for deliveries and collections nationwide. The successful candidate will possess a valid Code 10 driver’s license with a PDP, demonstrate strong logistical awareness, and adhere to road safety regulations at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 5–8 ton truck safely for deliveries and collections.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
- Follow scheduled routes and ensure punctual delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and paperwork.
- Comply with all road traffic laws and internal safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status.
- Assist with loading and offloading of goods when necessary.
- Promptly report any mechanical issues, delays, or incidents.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- 2–3 years’ proven experience driving 5–8 ton trucks
- Clean driving record with no major infringements
- Strong understanding of South African road networks and logistics routes
- Ability to interpret delivery instructions and documentation
- Physically capable of handling loading tasks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in logistics, courier, or FMCG sectors is advantageous
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance is beneficial
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Punctual, responsible, and self-driven
