Position: Administration Clerk

💼 Package & Remuneration: Market-related (to be discussed during the interview)


Key Responsibilities:

The Administration Clerk will provide comprehensive administrative and financial support with a focus on transport cost management and general office operations. Core duties include:

  • Reconcile outgoing transport-related costs and accounts
  • Ensure ERFM is invoiced accurately in line with agreed rates
  • Conduct monthly audits comparing billed vs. actual kilometers
  • Perform reconciliations for Hestony (Magalies and Randfontein)
  • Ensure monthly alignment with supplier ledgers on Pastel
  • Investigate additional charges prior to issuing purchase orders
  • Manage company vehicles and fuel usage
  • Capture diesel consumption daily and perform reconciliations
  • Handle vehicle licensing for Magalies and Randfontein branches
  • Execute administrative tasks related to petty cash
  • Process the cash book on Pastel Accounting
  • Monitor and issue stationery supplies
  • Assist with Netstar-related inquiries

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Diploma in Finance, Bookkeeping, or Accounting (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Pastel Accounting or other accounting systems (essential)
  • Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a general administrative support role
  • Exposure to both creditors and debtors functions is a strong advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to compile reports

Skills & Competencies:

  • Must be medically fit and a South African citizen
  • Sound understanding of basic accounting principles (reconciliations, creditors, and debtors)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within a team
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
