Full Job Description
We are seeking a Driver Assistant to join our reputable liquor distribution team based in Sandton, Gauteng. This role involves supporting the driver with the loading and unloading of goods and ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive punctually to maintain delivery schedule deadlines.
- Assist with the seamless handover of goods from the warehouse to the delivery vehicle.
- Pack deliveries accurately and securely to prevent product damage.
- Ensure you have your tablet and all required delivery documentation before leaving the warehouse.
- Complete deliveries and collections as per the assigned schedule or instructions from the Distribution Supervisor/Manager.
- Deliver orders to customers accurately and on time.
- Engage with customers professionally to encourage repeat business.
- Collect returned or damaged stock as indicated on upliftment paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and ensure the vehicle is in excellent condition daily.
- Immediately report any accidents or incidents to the Driver Supervisor/Manager and follow the standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to the company dress code, wear the designated uniform, and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Code 10 or 14 driver’s license (advantageous)
