Position: Discretionary Grants Administrator

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Job Purpose

To provide administrative support for the implementation of discretionary grant payment processes and contribute to the effective functioning and audit readiness of the unit.


Key Responsibilities

Grant Payment Administration

  • Support the implementation of grant payment procedures by providing accurate and timely administrative assistance.

Document Control and Audit Preparedness

  • Assist in developing and maintaining systems and procedures for efficient document control.
  • Help prepare audit documentation and ensure audit files are complete and accurate.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date payment filing system.

Operational Support

  • Perform daily administrative duties aligned with the unit’s work plans.
  • Organize and file documentation systematically.
  • Prepare and submit reports that are timely, accurate, and formatted according to requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education:
    • National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
    • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Finance, Commerce, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in financial administration or a similar support function
