Job Overview
Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Code 10 Driver to join their team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods or personnel while maintaining high standards of professionalism and vehicle care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to transport goods or staff between designated locations.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checks on oil, water, tyres, and lights.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in a roadworthy condition at all times.
- Adhere strictly to delivery or trip schedules, ensuring punctual arrivals and departures.
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring safe handling to prevent damage.
- Accurately complete and manage delivery-related documentation (e.g., delivery notes, trip logs).
- Comply with all traffic regulations and company safety protocols.
- Promptly report any mechanical issues, incidents, or delays to management.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and the public.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 10 (C1) Driver’s License with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- At least 2 years of proven driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
